Start of the project and construction progress
In early September 2024, demolition work began, clearing the way for the new construction. Parts of the original building ensemble were no longer structurally sound, making the demolition necessary. In collaboration with the SOG Advisory Board and the Federal Monuments Office, a sustainable and tradition-conscious concept was developed that harmoniously fits into the architecture of Kitzbühel and ensures the hotel’s future viability. The goal is to preserve the character of the building and the surrounding townscape while integrating modern standards in hotel operations and gastronomy.
Reopening planned for 2027
The reopening of the hotel is scheduled for 2027. The newly designed hotel will be open year-round and will offer both locals and guests top-notch service and hospitality of the highest level.
