The traditional hotel “Zur Tenne” is being extensively renovated to meet the high standards of a modern 5-star hotel while maintaining its historic charm.
Project start and construction progress
Demolition work began in September 2024 to clear the way for the new building. Parts of the original building ensemble are no longer sustainable, which is why demolition was necessary. Together with the SOG Advisory Board and the Federal Monuments Office, a sustainable and tradition-conscious concept was developed that fits harmoniously into the architecture of Kitzbühel and makes the hotel fit for the future. The aim is to preserve the character of the building and the surrounding cityscape, while at the same time integrating modern standards in the areas of hotel and catering.
